Crime Report: Car Robberies, Graffiti & a Noise Violation at BJ’s

This week’s Falls Church Crime Report contains a wide assortment of unlawfulness including two car robberies (one at Staples and the other at St. James School), graffiti on the W&OD trail bridge, someone being too loud at BJ’s, trespassing at both Starbucks and Seaside Crabhouse, unlawful inhaling at the Stratford Motor Lodge and a trio of DUIs.

Also of note, for the first time in several weeks, there were no reports of smoking violations at Eden Center.

City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for April 28 – May 4, 2014

Trespass, 6799 Wilson Blvd. #5 (Seaside Crab House) On Apr. 28, a 43 year old from Falls Church was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Public Drunkenness, 300 Park Ave. (Falls Church City Hall) On Apr. 28, a 32 year old from Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 6763 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Apr. 29, an unknown person scratched the exterior of an unattended vehicle.

Larceny from Vehicle, 830 W. Broad St. (St. James School) On Apr. 30, an unknown suspect broke a car window and stole several personal items.

Graffiti, Washington & Old Dominion Trail On Apr. 30, graffiti were found on the trail bridge.

Noise Violation, 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On May 1, a 47 year old from Leesburg was arrested and released on summons for a Noise Violation.

Trespass, 1218 W. Broad St. (Starbucks) On May 2, a 58 year old of no fixed address was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Larceny from Vehicle 1104 W. Broad St. (Staples) On May 2, an unknown suspect tampered a vehicle and stole several items.

Driving Under the Influence, 200 block N. Washington St. On May 2, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 49 year old from Woodbridge, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Drug Violation, 500 block Roosevelt Blvd. On May 3, police responded to the area of a report of individual unlawfully inhaling a substance. A 22 year old from the City of Falls Church, was later arrested and released on summons for Unlawful Inhaling of a Noxious Substance.

Robbery, 300 W. Broad St. (The Stratford Motor Lodge) On May 3, police received a report that an acquaintance robbed the victim for cash.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block W. Broad St. On May 4, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 26 year old from Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block E. Broad St. On May 4, a 30 year old from Ashburn was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
