Marshall Senior Jonathan Leidenheimer Named Nat’l History Bee Champ

For the fourth consecutive year, middle school and high school students from around the country came to the Washington, D.C. area last week to compete at the National History Bee and Bowl, an academic competition that tests students’ knowledge of all fields, eras, and locations in history. In the individual history bee competitions, Jonathan Leidenheimer, a senior at George C. Marshall High School, clinched the title of Varsity Bee Champion.

Leidenheimer, captain of Marshall’s It’s Academic and QuizBowl teams, is headed to the College of William and Mary in the fall.

With his win at the varsity bee, Leidenheimer qualifies to compete the inaugural International History Olympiad to be held in the summer of 2015.
