Edmond Wins Nod as GOP’s 8th District Nominee

Micah Edmond prevailed over Dennis Barstow and Paul Haring to win the GOP nomination as its candidate in the race to fill the 8th District U.S. Congressional seat being vacated by the retirement of Rep. Jim Moran this fall. He was selected at today’s 8th District GOP convention. Also, the convention chose Mark Kelly as its district chair for a two-year term.

In the November general election, Edmond will face the winner of the hotly-contested, 10-candidate Democratic primary fight that will be decided in a general primary election on June 10.
