Crime Report: 6 Alcohol-Related Arrests, a Stolen iPad & Somebody Threw a Trash Can at a Car

There is a variety of alcohol-related entries in this week’s Falls Church Crime Report with three DUIs and three incidents of public drunkenness reported in the City from April 14 – 20. Also in this week’s report,, someone threw a trash can at a car at the Shell gas station on Wilson Blvd., an iPad was stolen from a vehicle on W. Broad, the Subway on Annandale Rd. was broken into and robbed and four more people were caught smoking at Eden Center.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 7300 block Lee Hwy. On Apr. 15, a 24-year-old, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Smoking Violation, 6787 Wilson Blvd. Suite A (Saigon Xua) On Apr. 16, a 63-year-old, of Centreville; a 47-year-old, of Fairfax; a 45-year-old, of Falls Church; and a 51-year-old, of Falls Church, were issued summonses for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 6623 Wilson Blvd. (Shell Gas) On Apr. 16, an unknown suspect threw a trash can at vehicle receiving gas. The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 5`11″ tall, weighing 250 pounds, and missing several front teeth. He was wearing a red VT hat.

Public Drunkenness, 800 block E. Broad St. On Apr. 17, a John Doe was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Larceny, 100 block Lounsbury Pl. On Apr. 17, gasoline was stolen from a canister.

Driving Under the Influence, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On Apr. 17, a 39-year-0ld, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Blood or Breath Test, 700 block E. Broad St. On Apr. 18, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 27-year-old, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Blood or Breath Test.

Public Drunkenness, 400 block S. Washington St. On Apr. 18, an individual from Alexandria was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness, 600 block S. Washington St. On Apr. 20, a 54-year-old, of no fixed address, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Commercial Burglary, 113 E. Annandale Rd. (Subway) On Apr. 20, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the store and stole cash.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 20, police received a report that an iPad was stolen from a vehicle sometime on Apr. 19.
