Crime Report: CVS Thefts, More Smoking Arrests & an Assault on Spring Street

Both City of Falls Church CVS drugstores reported thefts, plus five more people arrested for smoking at Eden Center and an assault and battery on Spring Street are included in this week’s edition of the F.C. Crime Report.

City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for March 31 – April 6, 2014

Public Drunkenness and Resisting Arrest, 132 block W. Broad St. On Mar. 31, a male, 21, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness and Resisting Arrest.

Larceny from Building, 103 W. Columbia St. (Columbia Baptist Church) On Mar. 31, police received a report that a wallet was stolen.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Le Mirage) On Mar. 31, a male, 42, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Smoking Violation, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #1 E (Metro Cafe) On Mar. 31, a male, 43, of Woodbridge, was arrested and released on summons for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Shoplifting, 1150 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On Apr. 1, a bottle of wine was reported stolen.

Narcotics Violation, Liquor Law Violation, and Littering, 400 block Rollins St. On Apr. 1, a male, 18, of Arlington, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Littering.

Driving Under the Influence, 7100 block Leesburg Pike. On Apr. 4, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 34, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Tamper with Motor Vehicle, 900 block Ellison St. On Apr. 4, police received a report of an individual tampering with a Motor Vehicle. The identified suspect, a male, 19, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Fairfax County for Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.

Assault & Battery, 400 block S. Spring St. On Apr. 4, officers responded to a residence for a report of a fight. A male, of the City of Falls Church was arrested for two counts of Assault & Battery.

Shoplifting, 134 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On Apr. 4, police received a report of merchandise stolen which occurred on Apr. 3.

Trespass, 306 Hillwood Ave. (Lesly’s Restaurant) On Apr. 4, a male, 55, Alexandria, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Smoking Violation, 6779 Wilson Blvd. (Café Vy) On Apr. 5, a male, 33, of Burke; and a male, 33, of Annandale, were arrested and released on summons for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Larceny from Building, 100 block Birch St. On Apr. 6, police received a report that a delivery package was stolen from a residence.

Smoking Violation, 6787 Wilson Blvd. Suite A (Saigon Xua Restaurant) On Apr. 6, a male, 44, of Fairfax, was arrested and released on summons for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.
