Crime Report: F.C. Man Charged With Abduction, Robbery & Assault

A Falls Church man was arrested last Saturday after police received a report of domestic assault in the 300 block of Poplar Drive in the City. The 28-year old subject was arrested for abduction, robbery, assault on a family member, felonious assault and destruction of property.

The News-Press contacted City police for more information on the incident but a spokesperson said “because of the sensitivity of the domestic assault, we prefer to not give out details.”

Larceny from Building, 201 S. Washington St. (7-Eleven) On Mar. 25, a cell phone was reported stolen from the building.

Smoking Violation, 6779 Wilson Blvd. (Café Vy) On Mar. 26, a male, 26, of Springfield was arrested and released on summons for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Driving Under the Influence, 500 block W. Broad St. On Mar. 27, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a female, 29, of Reston, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Trespass, 6763 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Mar. 27, a male, 38, no fixed address was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear in Court and Trespassing.

Noise Violation, 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On Mar. 28, police received a noise complaint of a refuse truck. The driver, a male, 33, of Washington, DC was arrested and released on summons for Violation of the Noise Ordinance.

Vandalism, 801 N. Roosevelt St. (Oakwood Cemetery) On Mar. 28, police received a report of a damaged storage facility door.

Narcotics Violation, 200 block N. Washington St. On Mar. 28, a female, 19, of Alexandria; and a female, 19, of Springfield, were arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Public Drunkenness, 300 block W. Broad St. On Mar. 29, a male, 28, of Arlington, was arrested for Public Drunkenness and Urinating In Public.

Driving Under the Influence, 200 block W. Cameron Rd. On Mar. 29, an officer responded to the area for a report of a one car accident. The driver, a male, 33, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence and Public Drunkenness, 2800 block Annandale Rd. On Mar. 29, an officer an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 25, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. A male, 22, of Annandale, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Abduction, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, 300 block Poplar Dr. On Mar. 29, police responded to the area for a report of a domestic assault. A male, 28, of Falls Church, was arrested for Abduction, Robbery, Assault on a Family Member, Felonious Assault, and Destruction of Property.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 100 block S. Roosevelt Blvd. On Mar. 30, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 32, of Woodbridge, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Larceny from Building, 6791 Wilson Blvd. On Mar. 30, police received a report of an iPad stolen from the store which occurred on Mar. 28.

Larceny from Building, 103 W. Columbia St. (Columbia Baptist Church) On Mar. 30, police received a report of an unattended wallet stolen from the building.
