Rain Barrels Available for $65 at Saturday Distribution Event

The City of Falls Church and its partners invite the public to purchase a rain barrel for pick-up at their upcoming rain barrel distribution event, this Saturday, March 22, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the City’s Property Yard, 7100 Gordon Road, Falls Church.

Barrels cost $65, and can be reserved by visiting arlingtonenvironment.org/RainBarrel.

Rain barrels can be attached to downspouts to capture runoff from the roof for later use, thus saving money and water and decreasing the volume of storm runoff.

For rain barrel benefits and installation questions, call 703-248-5456. Registration-related questions can be directed to 703-324-1428.

This and other events are co-sponsored by the Northern Virginia Rain Barrel Program partner organizations and agencies, which include Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment, Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District, Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church, the City of Alexandria, the Reston Association, and Fairfax County Park Authority.
