Environmental Services Council to Screen ‘Green’ Film

The City of Falls Church Environmental Services Council and the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust will host this Thursday, Feb. 27, a free screening of “Green Fire,” the first full-length, high-definition documentary film made about conservationist Aldo Leopold and his environmental legacy. The film will be shown at 7 p.m. in the Falls Church Community Center’s Teen Center, 223 Little Falls St.

“Green Fire” shares highlights from Leopold’s career, explaining how he shaped conservation and the modern environmental movement. It also illustrates how Leopold’s vision of a community that cares about both people and land continues to inform and inspire communities across the country and around the world, highlighting modern projects that put Leopold’s land ethic in action in a multitude of ways.
