10 from Stuart Advance in SkillsUSA Contest

Fifteen Education for Employment students from J.E.B. Stuart High School participated in the SkillsUSA District 5 Leadership Competitions at Edison High School Academy on Jan. 31. Ten EFE students earned Gold-Place recognition and will be representing SkillsUSA District 5 at the VA SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Competitions in April at the Roanoke Civic Center.

Those 10 students are Firiel Attia ( in Extemporaneous Speaking, Extemporaneous Writing), Kaire Caballero (in Spelling), Jenny Cruz (in Extemporaneous Writing, Technical Math), Jose Flores (in VA SkillsUSA T-Shirt Design, Technical Math), Samiran Ibrahim (in Prepared Speech, Spelling, Current Events), Irsalan Khan (in Customer Service), Vishal Lal (in Extemporaneous Speaking), Mohamed Mohamud (in Current Events), Robale Namen (in Technical Math, Current Events), and Christopher Vo (in Spelling).
