Tickets On Sale For Charity Performances of ‘The Actual Dance’

Strange Bedfellow, composed of local civic and political groups working together to raise funds for cancer treatment, is now selling tickets for fundraising performances of a new play written and performed by McLean resident Sam Simon. “The Actual Dance” tells the story of the ups and downs that Simon and his wife faced when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Though it centers on a serious subject, Simon makes the play a moving love story with a happy ending.

Life With Cancer, a part of the INOVA Health Foundation which serves Northern Virginia cancer patients and their families, will receive proceeds from the performances of “The Actual Dance.” The two charity performances are scheduled at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 S. Maple Ave, for Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 each, and sponsorship levels are available.

Groups sponsoring the productions are American Legion Post 130, the Falls Church Lions Club, the Catholic War Veterans, the Falls Church area branch of the American Association of University Women, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Falls Church Democrats and Republicans, the Cherrywood Homeowners Association, the Greater Hillwood Citizens Association, the Village Preservation and Improvement Society, Greater Falls Church Veterans, the League of Women Voters, and Boy Scout Troop 349.
