F.C. Alliance for Youth Event to Discuss Substance Abuse

The Falls Church Alliance for Youth, in concert with the George Mason High School and Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School PTSAs and the City of Falls Church Department of Human Services, will host an event on substance abuse for parents/guardians and their middle- and high school-age students.

“Protecting Against the Realities of Substance Abuse” will be presented by P.R.O.T.E.C.T (Parents Reaching Out To Educate Communities Together), a task force of the Unified Prevention Council of Fairfax County, next Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the GMHS Auditorium.

Student, parent, and professional panelists will offer first-person stories of substance abuse.

The event will begin with a resource fair at 6:30 p.m., and the panel begins at 7 p.m.

George Mason High School is located at 7124 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church.
