Mason IB Music Selected for Performance by Pros

George Mason High School IB Music students Nik Hokaj and Max Aifer’s original compositions were chosen to be performed in Opus 27, a composition forum where more than 50 compositions where submitted by 17 schools for consideration.

Earlier this month, Hokaj and Aifer Skyped with professional musicians in Vermont to fine tune their personal interpretations before their pieces were performed before an audience at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont.

IB Music students are involved in a project called Music-Composition in which students from across the country critique compositions in progress and make suggestions about possible changes and improvements.
