Supervisor Foust to Challenge Wolf for Congress

Fairfax County Supervisor John Foust, who has represented the Dranesville District (McLean) since 2007, announced Tuesday that he will seek the Democratic nomination to run against incumbent Republican Congressman Frank Wolf in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.

Wolf, who will be 75 during next year’s campaign, has served the 10th District since 1981, and during the first 10 years of his term, the 10th District included the City of Falls Church, but has since been gerrymandered to stretch from areas of McLean near the F.C. city limits deep into Loudoun County.

In Foust’s campaign announcement, he promised to “return problem solving leadership” back to Congress, replacing the “reckless and irresponsible politics of Washington.”
