Holiday Musical to Be Performed at The Alden Dec. 14

Theatre IV’s production of “The Shoemaker and the Christmas Elves” will be presented at The Alden in McLean, as part of its McLean Kids Performance Series, at 2 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 14. Tickets are $15, $10 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Ave., inside the McLean Community Center.

Theatre IV’s show puts a yuletide spin on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Two elves are sent to work for a poor cobbler until he does something nice for them. When he does, they will become true Christmas Elves and be sent to work for Santa at the North Pole. Based on the story by the Grimm Brothers, the book, music and lyrics are by Paul Deiss. Audience members will delight in this magical story of a poor shoemaker and the magical elves that show him the true meaning of Christmas.

Tickets are on sale now. Discounts are available to seniors, students and groups of eight or more. For more information or to purchase tickets online, visit aldentheatre.org or call 703-790-0123.
