McLean Crafts Show Offers Holiday Shopping

Holiday shoppers can get an early start, find unique handmade items, and visit the crafters who make them at the 31st annual McLean Holiday Crafts Show. Sponsored by the McLean Community Center, the juried show will be held Friday through Sunday, Dec. 6 – 8.

Show hours are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7; and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8. Show admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children up to age 13 years, and is good for all three days of the show. The center is located at 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean.

Participants include designer candle maker Shalom Lord of Harmony Lights Candles; jewelry designer Rona Fisher; Jacqueline Campbell, who makes cloth dolls and art quilts; Vanessa Morris of Blue Ridge Salvage, who makes toys of handcrafted wood; and Steve Cone, who makes fresh wreaths and centerpieces at Endless Creations.

Marie-Helene Grabman will hand-cut silhouettes of family members or pets. Patrons can call the center at 703-790-0123 to schedule a 10-minute appointment. Crafts Show admission must be paid in order to enter the show for a silhouette appointment.

Food service will be provided by Sweet Stuff of McLean.
