FCPS Artist Teacher Exhibition Begins Dec. 4

The sixth annual Artist Teacher Exhibition, featuring works by 41 art teachers in Fairfax County Public Schools, will be on display at the Workhouse Arts Center Vulcan Gallery, 9601 Ox Road, Lorton, from next Wednesday, Dec. 4, through Sunday, Jan. 12. A reception is planned for Dec. 14, from 6 – 9 p.m. at the gallery.

Forty-one artist-teachers, represented by 50 artworks, will be featured in the exhibition. The works were selected from all submissions by juror Sarah Eckhardt, assistant curator of modern and contemporary art at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, from over 200 submissions.

Featured artist-teachers include Amanda Archibald of Langley High School, Drew Smith of McLean High School, Christian Tribastone of Sleepy Hollow Elementary School, and Nicole Walter of Marshall High School.
