Local Tree Experts Featured in F.C. Arts ‘Tree Talks’

Falls Church Arts will host a special event featuring discussion with local tree experts this Thursday, Nov. 7, in conjunction with its all-media show ArtisTree. ArtisTree, which is currently on display at ArtSpace Falls Church, includes pieces in which trees are a prominent component of the artworks.

At Tree Talks, three experts on trees will outline their current programs and efforts and take questions from the audience. Scheduled speakers are Seth Heminway of the Village Preservation and Improvement Society Neighborhood Tree Program, City of Falls Church Arborist Ben Thompson, and Joanne Hutton of the Audubon at Home Program.

A reception at ArtSpace begins at 7 p.m. and the Tree Talks program begins at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

ArtSpace Falls Church is located at 410 S. Maple Ave., Falls Church. For more information, visit fallschurcharts.org.
