City’s 1st Burr Oak Planted at TJ

336oakAs part of a Neighborhood Tree Program planting last Saturday, Barry Buschow and Jeremy Schneider (left) planted the first Burr Oak in Falls Church City at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Another planting will be held this Saturday, Nov. 2. Volunteers should meet at 8:30 a.m. on the 600 block of N. Oak Street en route to Mount Daniel School. Volunteers should wear boots or heavy shoes, gloves, and clothes that can get dirty. For more information on the Neighborhood Tree Program, a partnership between the City of Falls Church and the Village Preservation and Improvement Society, visit vpis.org/trees.
