Volunteers Invited to Make Care Packages at F.C. Troop Treats Event

Troop Treats, the McLean-based nonprofit that ships thousands of care packages annually to U.S. troops overseas, will be hosting a care-package event this Saturday, Oct. 26, in Falls Church.

Volunteers are invited to pack care packages containing thank-you notes to soldiers as well as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and other toiletries for shipment to U.S. troops deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bosnia, Africa, and elsewhere. The event will take place from 10 a.m. – noon at the James Lee Community Center, 2855-A Annandale Road, Falls Church. Volunteers should arrive by 9:30 a.m. to check in.
