F.C. Fire Department Open House to Promote Kitchen Safety

In observance of Fire Prevention Week, the City of Falls Church is joining forces with the nonprofit National Fire Protection Association to focus attention on the theme of Prevent Kitchen Fires. During this year’s fire safety campaign, fire departments will be spreading the word about the dangers of kitchen fires, most of which result from unattended cooking, and teaching local residents how to prevent them starting in the first place.

The Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department and the Arlington Career Firefighters will be hosting an open house this Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to promote Prevent Kitchen Fires. Fire Station No. 6 is located at 555 N. Washington St., Falls Church. For more information, visit fallschurchva.gov/FireMarshal.
