TJHSST Announces Open House on Oct. 5

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, which serves as the Governor’s Regional School for science and technology in Northern Virginia, will hold an open house this Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. – noon, to provide eighth grade students and their parents with information about the school and its admissions process for the 2014-15 freshman class.

Due to school construction, the open house will be held at Holmes Middle School, 6525 Montrose St,. Alexandria.

On that day, families are invited to meet TJHSST teachers, administrators, students, parents, and alumni. Admissions information sessions will be held at Holmes throughout the morning.

The deadline for submitting applications for the TJHSST 2014-15 freshman class is Friday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m. Students can apply online or pick up applications at all public middle schools in participating school districts and at many private schools. Students who attend schools that do not have applications may contact the Thomas Jefferson Admissions Office, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Thomas Jefferson Admissions Office is located at the Gatehouse Administrative Center, 8115 Gatehouse Road, Suite 2600, in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County.
