Tryouts for F.C. Youth Basketball Select Teams Begin Next Week

Tryouts will commence next week for Falls Church City Youth Basketball select teams. The Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department sponsors select teams that play in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League. These teams are designed for the skilled and experienced players who are looking for a higher level of competition. All participants interested in playing on a select team must attend tryouts. Parents must sign players into tryouts. Not all players who attend tryouts will be invited onto the team. Select players may also play in the house league; however, priority will be given to the select team, and house league schedules cannot be altered to accommodate select players. House league basketball registration is Oct. 7 – Nov. 1.

For seventh-grade boys, tryouts are Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School; Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the George Mason High School Main Gym; and Sunday, Oct. 6, from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at the George Mason Auxiliary Gym
