She is pictured above with the Ogden family. Day to Serve is being recognized this year from September 15 – 29. Volunteers from the Falls Church Ward at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints held a large food drive in cooperation with the Spend Yourself Pantry at Columbia Baptist Church and the Falls Church Community Services Council Food Bank at Knox Presbyterian Church, both at the Safeway last Saturday and at other collection points. Saturday’s delivery to the Spend Yourself Food Pantry weighed 3,133 pounds, with remaining deliveries set for this week to the Falls Church Winter Homeless Shelter, Winter Hill, and Knox Presbyterian. Food has been collected by several churches and civic groups in the Northern Virginia area, which is being donated to local food banks to help feed those in need. (Courtesy Photo)
