F.C. Council Candidate: No Yard Signs

Falls Church City Council candidate Robert LaJeunesse announced this week an “anti-yard sign” campaign, calling signs “an assault on the environment, an insult to the intelligence of voters, and eye-sore to the community, and of questionable effect.”

He said he will “refrain from their use,” saying, “Political candidates should use electronic media and other resources to spare our communities and the globe from the harmful production and distribution of marketing materials. I expect voters to elect me based on the weight of my ideads, my background and my leadership qualities, not because I have strewn more yard signs than my competitors.”
