Jesse Dean Hagedorn, 32, was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, according to a report by Fairfax County Police. Hagedorn was a student at George Mason High School in Falls Church in the late 1990s.

Fairfax Police responded to the area of Virginia Center Blvd. and Baronhurst Dr. on Monday afternoon for the report of a crash involving a motorcycle. Initial responding officers summoned Crash Reconstruction Detectives to the scene.

The investigation revealed that the 32-year-old Hagedorn of Colts Neck Road in Reston was riding his 2006 Honda motorcycle north on Virginia Center Blvd. just prior to Baronhurst Dr. For an unknown reason, it appears that the motorcycle veered to the right side of the roadway, striking the curb and a guardrail. The motorcycle then struck the curb a second time causing the rider to strike his head on an adjacent tree. The rider was separated from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway.

CPR was initiated by a Good Samaritan until rescue arrived. Hagedorn was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this crash.
