F.C. & Fairfax Water to Host Town Halls on Water Sale

The City of Falls Church, along with Fairfax Water, will hold two town hall meetings on the pending sale of the City’s water system.

The meetings will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. – noon, and on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St.

Representatives from both organizations will be on hand to share information on the system, the sale, and the transition at each meeting.

A list of frequently asked questions on the referendum and sale of the City’s water system can be found at fallschurchva.gov/WaterSale.

In November 2012, an agreement was reached by the City, Fairfax Water, and Fairfax County on the terms of sale for the City’s water utility to Fairfax Water. This agreement is contingent upon an approval of a referendum by the voters of the City of Falls Church to take place on Nov. 5.
