Beginners Composting Workshop Set for Sept. 15

Aspiring composters can learn to make rich organic compost from yard trimmings and leaves at a workshop set for Sept. 15 at Cherry Hill Park.

Topics to be discussed at the workshop include making compost tea, proper food waste composting, and vermicomposting (composting with worms). A composting demonstration will also take place. Participants will take home a free portable yard waste compost bin.

The workshop will take place at the Cherry Hill Park Picnic Shelter, 312 Park Ave., Falls Church, from 3 – 4:30 p.m., rain or shine.
