‘ET’ Picked as Sunset Cinema Viewers’ Choice

The results are in, and the top pick in the City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department’s Sunset Cinema Viewers’ Choice voting was “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.”

As the top vote-getter, the film will be shown this Friday at the final screening in this season’s Sunset Cinema series.

“ET” was up against “Here Comes the Boom,” “Escape from Planet Earth,” “Rise of the Guardians,” and “The NeverEnding Story.” Votes were cast at other Sunset Cinema screenings earlier this summer, as well as online.

The free screening begins at 8 p.m. in Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Ave. Moviegoers are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be canceled. For more information, call 703-248-5027 or visit fallschurchva.gov/SunsetCinema.
