F.C.’s Sunset Cinema Returns with Viewers’ Choice Pick

The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department will present its 10th annual Sunset Cinema in the Park on Fridays this summer. The free screenings of family-friendly movies begin at 8 p.m. in Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Ave.

The 2013 Sunset Cinema movies are “Madagascar 3” on Aug. 16 and “Hotel Transylvania” on Aug. 23. For Aug. 30, movie-goers will have a chance to cast their vote from the following films: “Here Comes the Boom,” “Escape from Planet Earth,” “Rise of the Guardians,” “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” and “The NeverEnding Story.” Voting will take place in person at the first two film screenings, at the Community Center, and online at surveymonkey.com/s/SunsetCinema2013.

Moviegoers are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, the movies will be canceled. For more information, call 703-248-5027 or visit fallschurchva.gov/SunsetCinema.
