CBC Announces Water Forum Plans

Falls Church’s Citizens for a Better City (CBC) civic organization has announced this week that it will focus on promoting dialogue, debate and discourse regarding the proposed sale of the City’s water system to Fairfax County in the upcoming election campaign this fall. Citizens will ratify or reject the sale by voting on a referendum that will be on the Nov. 5 ballot.

The CBC has at least three events planned to enable citizens to explore and better understand the pros and cons of this key issue. The dates for the forums are Thursday, Sept. 26, Thursday, Oct. 3, and Wednesday, Oct. 23. At least one informal neighborhood meeting on the pros and cons will also be scheduled at a later date.
