Fairfax County Seeks Volunteers in F.C. Area

Fairfax County’s Volunteer Solutions is looking for volunteers for a number of positions, including some in the greater Falls Church area.

The Bailey’s Senior Center, 5920 Summers Lane, Falls Church, needs volunteers to provide front desk coverage, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The volunteer would greet visitors, answer the telephone, and enter data.

Fairfax County also needs volunteers to drive older adults to medical appointments and wellness programs.

For more information about these opportunities, call 703-324-5406, email VolunteerSolutions@fairfaxcounty.gov, or visit fairfaxcounty.gov/olderadults.

Respite Care volunteers are needed to give family caregivers of frail older adults a break. Volunteers visit and oversee the safety of the older adult for a few hours each month. Support and training are provided. For more information about this opportunity, contact Kristin Martin at 703-324-7577 or Kristin.Martin@fairfaxcounty.gov.
