F.C. Police Seek Info in Dog Bite Incident

The City of Falls Church Police Department seeks information concerning a dog bite incident that occurred on either Thursday or Friday, July 18 or 19, at about 4:30 p.m. outside CVS Pharmacy (1150 W. Broad St. at Birch St.). An adult female was bitten on the leg as she pet one of two unattended dogs tied by their leashes outside the store.

The dog that bit the victim is described as a medium-sized shaggy mixed breed with salt and pepper coloring. The other dog is described as a brown Dachshund-type breed. The dogs were tied with green leashes.

The incident was reported to the Police Department on July 22. The victim may have to be given rabies inoculations if the dog is not located. Those who might have any information about the dogs or their owner are asked to contact the City of Falls Church Police Department immediately at 703-241-5050.
