F.C. Painter Picked for Arlington Arts Gallery Show

Award-winning Falls Church artist Eileen Hecht-Levy has been chosen to be a featured artist for The Shortworks Artshow at Arlington Arts Gallery. Hecht-Levy is exhibiting her recent paintings “Navigating Neptune” and “Joyful Jupiter.”

Hecht-Levy has been developing these paintings as part of the “Other Worlds: How We See It” series, over the past six months. The series was formed with the intent that viewers enter the work and seek out physical or psychological impressions of worlds beyond.

Hecht-Levy, a native of London, has won numerous awards for her painting and fabric art. She is a graduate of the University of the Arts London, and studied art at the Rochester Institute of Technology. As an active arts instructor, she has enjoyed teaching children and adults.

An opening reception for The Shortworks Artshow will take place Sunday, July 28, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Arlington Arts Gallery, 5179 Lee Highway, Arlington. For more information, call 703-532-4350.
