F.C. Presbyterian Church Named Community Champion by Shelter House

Shelter House of Northern Virginia presented the Community Champion Award to Falls Church Presbyterian Church at its annual meeting on June 25 in recognition of their partnership to provide housing to families in transition. Ives House, located on E. Broad Street, is owned by FCPC and has been used for mission work through the years. The current Ives House program offers long-term housing and support services, including case management, referrals, assistance with life skills, support with budgeting, and more. Pictured above from left to right, FCPC members Stephen Hiscott and Mary Brasler accepted the award, which includes both a plaque and a certificate documenting the award being read into the U.S. Congressional Record, from Jewell Mikula, executive director of Shelter House.
