City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for June 17 – 23, 2013

Driving Under the Influence, and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath test, 400 block W. Broad St. On June 17, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 27, of Annandale, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Graffiti, Washington & OD Trail at Great Falls St. On June 18, graffiti were found on the trail.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block Gundry Dr. On June 17, police received a report that cash was stolen from a parked vehicle.

Stolen Vehicle, 200 block Gundry Dr. On June 17, police received a report that a vehicle was stolen sometime after 10 p.m. on June 16.

Tampering with Vehicle, 200 block Gundry Dr. On June 17, police received a report that a vehicle had been ransacked by an unknown suspect(s). No items were reported taken.

Domestic Assault, 6757 Wilson Blvd. On June 18, a male, 24, of Falls Church, was arrested for Assaulting a Family Member.

Larceny of Vehicle Parts, 445 S. Washington St. (I & R Motors) On June 18, police received a report that an unknown suspect(s) cut three catalytic converters from various vehicles sometime between June 15 and 17.

Public Drunkenness, 110 West St. (7-Eleven) On June 10, a male, no fixed address, 47, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Trespassing, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Narcotics Violation, 715 W. Broad St. (Plantation Realty) On June 19, a 17 year-old male, of Arlington was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Possession of Marijuana.

Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On June 19, a male, 30, of Alexandria, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Urinating In Public, 804 S. Washington St. (7-Eleven) On June 20, a male, 49, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Urinating In Public.

Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On June 21, a male, 30, of Alexandria, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On June 21, a male, 54, of Fairfax, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer and Public Drunkenness, 1100 block N. Tuckahoe St. On June 21, officers and sheriff’s deputies responded to the area for a report of an unresponsive individual in the area. Officers were able to wake the individual and determined the individual was intoxicated. While officers were placing the individual under arrest he kicked an officer. A male, 22, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer and Public Drunkenness.

Larceny from Building, 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On June 22, an unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle. The bicycle was later recovered.

Destruction of Property, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On June 22, two unknown suspect(s) broke a glass entrance door.

Domestic Assault, 100 block W. Westmoreland Rd. On June 22, a male, 40, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Assaulting a Family Member.

Driving Under the Influence, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On June 23, a female, 40, of Arlington, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Larceny from Vehicle, 100 block Birch Ave. On June 23, police received a report that an unknown suspect(s) stole a firearm from the victim’s vehicle while parked near CVS pharmacy.

Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and Possession of False ID, 400 block Hillwood Ave. On June 23, a male, 21, of Arlington, was arrested for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and Possession of False ID.

Other Arrests 

Solicitation of Prostitution, On June 16, police arrested a male, 42, of Alexandria, in Fairfax County for an outstanding Falls Church City warrant on Solicitation of Prostitution from a May 2013 investigation at 300 W. Broad St. (Stratford Motor Lodge)

Unemployment Fraud, On June 16, Falls Church police arrested a male, 30, of the Richmond for an outstanding State Police Warrant for Unemployment Fraud.

Failure to Appear, On June 21, a male, 35, of Arlington, was arrested in Fairfax County for Failure to Appear in Falls Church General District Court to answer to Assault Charges.
