City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for June 10 – 16, 2013 

NOTE: This report is not a definitive list of all criminal activity and is subject to change upon investigation. 

Drunk in Public, 110 West St. (7-Eleven). On June 10, a male, no fixed address, 47, was arrested for Drunk in Public.

Larceny from Building, 900 block Ellison St. On June 11, an unknown suspect(s) stole merchandise from a delivered shipping package.

Panhandling, 1000 block E Broad St. On June 14, a male, 27, of Alexandria, was issued a Summons for Panhandling.

Unlicensed Solicitation, 300 block Gundry. On June 14, officers responded to a report of an unlicensed solicitor.  A male, 23, of Costa Mesa, CA, was issued a summons for Unlicensed Solicitation.

Urinating in Public, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On June 15, a male, 30, of Falls Church and a male, 40, of Falls Church, were cited for Urinating in Public.

Strong Armed Robbery and Malicious Wounding, 1100 block of S. Washington St. On June 15 at 4:45 PM, victim was assaulted by two suspects who unsuccessfully attempted to take his backpack. The victim sustained a broken nose and broken jaw. Suspects are described as: 1) white male, late 20`s, brown-red wavy hair approximately 4″ in length, freckles, white t shirt, shorts or pants (unknown color) and 2) black male, bald, 20`s, muscular, approximately 200 lbs, dark colored t shirt, khaki shorts.

Possession with Intent to Distribute, 1000 block W. Broad St. On June 15, officers responded to an anonymous tip and arrested a male, 27, of Woodbridge, for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

Drunk in Public, 6300 block Leesburg Pike. On June 16, a male, 26, of no fixed address, was arrested for being Drunk in Public.

Driving While Intoxicated, 200 block W. Broad St. On June 16, a female, 24, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving while Intoxicated.

Drunk in Public and Identity Theft to Avoid Arrest, 300 block Hillwood Ave. On June 16, a male, 39, of Falls Church, was arrested for Drunk in Public and Identity Theft to Avoid Arrest.

Robbery and Destruction of Property, 400 block E. Broad St. On June 16, at 11:16 PM, victim was on the sidewalk by his motorcycle when he was accosted by two males sharing a moped. He was knocked from the wall and escaped his attackers. After assailants were unable to start the motorcycle they left the scene with victim’s helmet and shirt. Suspects are described as: 1) black male 20-25 years old, 5`9″-5`10″ skinny about 170 pounds, clean-shaven and long hair down to his shoulder. He was wearing a black T-shirt. and 2) Hispanic male 20-25 years old 5`8″ skinny 160 pounds. He was wearing a white motorcycle helmet and a white T-shirt.

Other Arrests

Failure to Appear On June 11, a male, 25, of Falls Church, was arrested for Failure to Appear in Falls Church General District to answer to the charge of Driving with a Revoked License (DUI Related).

Bad Checks, Obtaining Money By False Pretenses, & Fraudulent Uttering of Financial Documents On June 11, a male, 30, of Reston, was arrested for six counts of Bad Checks, six counts of Obtaining Money By False Pretenses, and six counts of Fraudulent Uttering of Financial Documents at 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale). Investigation stemmed from various transactions at BJ’s since November 2012.

Failure to Comply, On June 13, a male, 42, of Annandale, surrendered herself to Falls Church Police after a Failure to Comply warrant was issued stemming from a prior DUI conviction.
