Belvedere Elementary School will host a garden party Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2012-13 school year.

The school’s Green Team will lead tours of Belvedere’s raised beds, pollinator gardens, pumpkin life cycle garden, and outdoor classroom, as well as the B Back project designed to attract butterflies, bats, birds, and bees.

Team members will also explain the recycling and composting programs.

Sponsors and benefactors of the school’s Go2Green initiative have been invited to attend. Profits from refreshments will be used to support the school’s green projects.

There will be games and activities, stepping stone painting, and a cookie walk, and student artwork and writing will be on display in the school halls.

Belvedere Elementary School is located at 6540 Columbia Pike, Falls Church.
