Option to Cut $1.3 Million from F.C. Schools Added to Budget Agenda

According to a media advisory issued by the office of Falls Church School Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones this morning, she was informed by the City Clerk that the option of cutting $1.3 million from the School Board request has been placed back on the agenda for Monday’s F.C. City Council final vote on the budget. The move was done at the request of Council members Ira Kaylin and Johannah Barry, according to the report. This option is added to two others that would either fully fund the School Board request, or cut it by $344,700 as hammered out in last night’s Council work session.
