DMV Select Anniversary Fete Next Tuesday

Next Tuesday, April 23, the City of Falls Church “DMV Select” adjunct service of the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, will celebrate their seventh anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony to be held just outside the office at City Hall, 300 Park Avenue. The ceremony will start at 11 a.m.

The ribbon cutting will also celebrate the ongoing bi-monthly partnership between the “DMV Select” office in the City’s Commissioner of the Revenue office at City Hall, and the new “DMV 2 Go” mobile customer service center. The full-service mobile “DMV 2 Go” van will be on site from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. to assist customers with all DMV transactions that day. This mobile office is handicapped-accessible and provides all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver’s licenses and ID cards and applying for Virginia’s new veterans ID card. “DMV 2 Go” has visited Falls Church three times since last fall, serving dozens of customers and conducting numerous transactions.

In addition to its visit next Tuesday, “DMV 2 Go” will provide services in Falls Church the second Friday of every other month through the end of the year, with the next visit set for May 10 in the Bowl America parking lot at 140 S. Maple Ave.
