Stuart PTSA to Screen Alum’s Documentary in NoVa Premiere

The documentary “Shenandoah,” produced by J.E.B. Stuart High School alumnus Billy Peterson, will have its Northern Virginia premiere at the Stuart auditorium next week.

The screening,  sponsored by the J.E.B. Stuart High School PTSA, will take place next Wednesday, April 17, at 7 p.m.  A donation of $8 is recommended, but not required.

The screening will be followed by a discussion led by Peterson, a graduate of the class of 1994 and now CEO of Epic Match Media. He’ll be joined via Skype by the film’s director, Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer David Turnley.

The film is described as “an epic documentary about a coal mining town with a fiery immigrant heritage, dramatically challenged when four white, star football players were charged in the beating death of an undocumented Mexican immigrant.”
