Nisha Thirumurthy has founded Kalaa, a luxury women’s clothing line debuting in Falls Church from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. the weekends of April 13 – 14 and 20 – 21.

Kalaa offers sportswear and separates which integrate traditional cultural fabrics with contemporary silhouettes. The debut collection focuses on India’s rich textile tradition and incorporates materials woven by village artisans using handlooms and powerlooms. Some pieces will be available for purchase at the events while others can be pre-ordered for delivery in 6-8 weeks.
