Samuel and Deanna Atkinson of Chesapeake announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Atkinson, to Justin Covey, son of Dennis Covey and Kristy Covey of Neosho, Missouri.

Lindsey is a 2002 graduate of Western Branch High School. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in elementary education at Virginia Tech. She is currently studying for her second master’s degree at George Mason University.

Justin received his bachelor’s degree at Missouri State University and his J.D. at the Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Both Lindsey and Justin reside in the Washington, D.C., area where Lindsey is a math specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools and Justin is a regulatory analyst for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

The wedding will take place on July 13 in Portsmouth.
