Crane Work to Cause Detours Around Kaiser Permanente

On Sunday, March 3, from 4 a.m. – 4 p.m., drivers and pedestrians will be detoured on southbound N. Washington Street (Lee Highway) at Great Falls Street. Drivers will be directed as follows: right on Great Falls Street, left on N. Maple Avenue, and left on W. Broad Street to return to N. Washington Street.

Pedestrians will be directed to walk on the opposite side of the street or to follow the vehicle detour. Northbound N. Washington Street will be reduced to one lane from Park Avenue to Great Falls Street.

The detour is a result of crane work at the Kaiser Permanente building, 201 N. Washington St. Signs will be placed throughout the area to notify drivers and pedestrians. City of Falls Church Police officers will also be on scene to ensure driver safety.
