Citizen Input Invited in F.C. Budget Development

Falls Church City Manager Wyatt Shields will present the proposed Fiscal Year 2014 City budget and Capital Improvements Program to the City Council on Monday, March 11, at the regular meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. in Falls Church City Hall, 300 Park Ave. An important part of budget development is citizen input. Comments may be presented in a number of ways: via email to budget@fallschurchva.gov, town hall meetings, and public hearings.

Town hall meetings are scheduled for 10 a.m. on March 16 and April 13 in the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St. At the Town hall meetings, Shields will present a brief overview of the proposed budget. The public will then have an opportunity to make suggestions and ask questions. The public is also invited to speak at any City Council regular meeting including the public hearings on March 27, April 8, and April 22.
