F.C. Elementary PTA Seeks Foreign Language Translators

The Falls Church Elementary PTA needs language liaisons. Those who are reasonably fluent in a foreign language and willing to translate short summaries of key PTA/school-related communications for ESOL families at Falls Church schools are asked to contact Stephanie Oppenheimer, FCEPTA corresponding secretary, at skylitecomm@yahoo.com.

Volunteers will not be asked to help with any personal or student-specific communications, and will not be asked to translate homework, lunch menus, or other “routine” or lengthy communications.

Spanish, Arabic, Korean, Vietnamese, and Turkish speakers are particularly needed, but there are dozens of languages spoken by Falls Church families with kids in the ESOL program.
