Techy and We Know It, a FIRST Lego League team from Falls Church, collected the second-place championship award in competition at the U.S. Patent and Trade Office in Alexandria earlier this month and qualified to go through to the state championship in Harrisonburg next month. To win the award, team members scored consistently in the different classes of the competition. They were judged on their ability to work together as a team, program an autonomous robot, and research and develop their ideas for a glove that can help seniors with failing dexterity retain their independence.
