F.C. Council Moves to Closed Session With Key School Reps, Vote May Follow

A highly-secretive “plot has thickened” at the Falls Church City Hall tonight, as the City Council moved into a closed session to mull matters related to City property together with two key members of the City Schools — Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones and School Board chair Susan Kearney — and some unknown parties. F.C. Mayor Nader Baroukh said that it is likely the Council will emerge from the session to cast a public vote.

The closed session follows what has a hastily-called closed session of the School Board held late this afternoon, and follows the recent mediation effort between the Fairfax County Water Authority, the County of Fairfax and the City of Falls Church whose result was not reported by any of the entities at the time.
