Arlington Holiday Light Show to Help Homeless Animals

During the holiday season, visitors can enjoy a light display and help homeless animals. Tom and Jo Straub have put up an extensive light display at 5612 24th St. N, Arlington, and will be collecting donations for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington at the light show.

The show runs from Thanksgiving night through Jan. 1, Sunday through Thursday from 6 – 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 – 11 p.m. The show is run by one computer and six Light-O-Rama controllers and consists of almost 10,000 lights. Over half are LED. Accompanying audio comes from outdoor speakers and FM station 98.1 on car radios.

Cash and various pet donations will be accepted. Dry and canned food, pet beds, toys, and similar items can be placed in the bin provided, while cash and check donations can be placed in the secure donation box on the left side of the yard.
