Water Main Break Limits Traffic on Shreve Road

UPDATE: As of 3:30 p.m., City officials report the Shreve Road is now fully open again.

UPDATE: As of 2 p.m., City officials report the water main break has been repaired but traffic is still limited to one lane as work crews repair the road.

A water main break has limited traffic on Shreve Road to one lane at Virginia Lane, between Route 7 and Lee Highway, in Falls Church this afternoon. City of F.C. Communications Director Susan Finarelli says crews are currently working on reparing the break and that drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
