Columbia Baptist to Host Benefit Race; Partial Road Closures Scheduled

Columbia Baptist Church will host the Spend Yourself 5K Run/3K Walk through Falls Church City on Saturday, Nov. 17, to raise awareness and money to fight hunger.

The race kicks off at 8 a.m. at the church, located at 103 W. Columbia St., Falls Church.  Most of the race will be run on the W&OD trail, which will be from Little Falls Street to Grove Avenue. All participants will then turn around at Grove Avenue and run the same course back to the church.

There will be partial road closures throughout the City of Falls Church from 6 – 10 a.m. on the morning of the race. The City’s Police Department will attempt to limit inconveniences to the public by having roads barricaded off along with posting police officers and volunteers throughout the race.

For more information about the race, visit columbiabaptist.org/SY5K.
